The night air is shot blue with plum shade.
There is sheet lightening in the shake trees, and when
sun warm saffron rays, caught in the chequer
work of flailing tree leaves, salmon the park side path
adjacent the cathedral altar, the skin of park air
under pine and split willow gets shot red with cathedral
shade lights. Tonight the moon is aureoled with moondogs.
Outside the silence, save a cricket in the jonquil green
violet of hasta shade somewhere amid ground ivy,
the sound of someone’s shuffling wooden clogs.
Weathered footfall foot-falling.
